Big Brother Naija housemate, K.Brule, who was sent packing from the show alongside his partner after they received their third strike on the reality TV show, reacted to a tweet by Nigerian Senator and Silverbird group Chairman, Ben Bruce, who admonished Nollywood to tap into their potentials.
Senator Ben Bruce tweeted;
#BlackPanther has just hit the $1 billion mark and is still growing. This is an almost entirely all Black movie. It shows the potential that Black movies have including and especially Nollywood movies. What Black Panther has done, Nollywood can and should do.
Reacting to the tweet above, K.Brule tweeted;
No sir they spent hundred of millions making it. our country barely pays actors 10k a day… help us fix our economy. Imagine we invest that 40 something million found i ikoyi in a movie? Im sure the producers would still embezzle. I cry for my country
This is coming after Marvel Studios confirmed that the blockbuster movie ‘Black Panther’, will be having a sequel.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed to Entertainment Weekly in an interview published on Friday, that a “Black Panther” sequel is certain.
When asked about his plans for a sequel, Feige said there was “nothing specific to reveal,” but that “we absolutely will do that.”
“Black Panther” completely destroyed at the box office, earning over $500 million domestically so far, which puts it in the top 10 of highest grossing films of all time. Worldwide, the film inches ever closer to the $1 billion mark. At the moment, “Black Panther” sits at $940 million in global ticket sales.
Obviously, there are very few details on the next film, but Feige said they have “a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.” Until then we’ll just have to get our Wakanda fix in the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War.”
