The rapper is back on the headlines, for some less than flattering words about daytime talk show host Wendy Williams. Wendy Williams discussed the event on Wild ‘N Out during her show, and it received a response from Azealia Banks who took to her Instagram stating that she would be in favor of seeing the host “die on air.”

Azealia Banks lashed out at the talk show host, and referenced the fainting incident from earlier this year, but referred to it as a stroke.

“Omg can Wendy Williams have another stroke on TV and finally drop dead?” Banks wrote. “I would love to see her die on air.”

After revealing that she felt attacked during her Wild ‘N Out visit, Banks revealed that she broke down into tears and that she will be pushing her album back after the incident. Some groups of the Hip-Hop community across the web wish that Banks would go ahead with the release of her album, while some others were critical of attempting to point the fingers at the MTV crew over jokes, while she often takes aim at her peers.

Following the incident on the “Wild N Out”set, the rappers said that the cast had “pre-planned colorist jokes” as well as call her ugly which she said caused her to break down in tears.

In addition, Banks also said that she plans on pushing her album back due to the controversy.

“Album is cancelled,” she wrote. Adding, “I’ll release new music when I feel like it.”

This is not the first time Azealia Banks will be at the center of a controversy. Few weeks ago, she spent some days on Twitter writing about her disdain for RuPaul and RuPaul’s Drag Race. The “212” rapper started her series of tweets, when she revealed that she filed a claim against RuPaul for plagiarizing the beat to her song “The Big Big Beat” for his song “Call Me Mother.” What followed was a series of messages criticizing the way Drag Racehas commodified gay culture that led a number of LGBTQ voices to speak out against Banks.
