Aya Blackburn shooting: Aya Hachem, a 19 year old Lebanese-British Muslim girl got shot and is dead after a drive-by shooting in Blackburn.
Aya Hachem died May 17 2020 after she was shot on King Street outside Lidl supermarket in Blackburn via drive-by shooter. She had left her home to buy groceries when she was shot and killed.
Just after 3pm Sunday May 17, 2020, police were called to reports of a woman being found unresponsive on King Street following reports that gunshots had been heard in the area.
A car, a light-coloured, possibly metallic green Toyota Avensis was reported leaving the Blackburn shooting scene shortly after the incident.
A vehicle matching this description was later recovered from Wellington Road.
Aya Hachem was taken to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. A Home Office post-mortem will take place to establish Aya Hachem cause of death.
Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for information to help track down those responsible. Police are requesting for any witnesses to come forward.

Shocking and sickening beyond belief to hear beautiful, 19 year old ‘Aya’, from Blackburn was brutally murdered yesterday . She was shot dead in the street on her way to buy some groceries.
