Seun Kuti in a new Instagram post, slammed parents attending political rallies while their kids are at home due to ASUU Strike.
Seun Kuti who stated that a hijab crisis in a secular school can create more outrage than the closure of our university, wondered if parents attending political rallies while their kids are at home due to ASUU strike are mad.
He wrote;
“Your children aren’t attending school but u are attending political rally. Are you maaaad?
Until we are ready to serve our children and not just raise them, we shall never understand national development. How hijab crisis in a secular school can create more outrage than the closure of our university for months is the proof we need to know that we are willing to serve everything else but our children. Learn to serve your children not just raise them! #getthesax.”
Nice view but I can tell you that the parent you see out there aren’t happy to see there kids at home due to the strike, but less can they do than to leave there normal life.
You are somehow right and somehow wrong
I stand with seun kuti. He is absolutely right
Well spoken, some parents are still going to sell their vote in this coming elections. It’s high time we start making things work for ourselves not our politicians.
Well though motives are different… But it’s what should parents do… Sit at home and have the same people who are the anchor of the problem re-elect themselves back in. Power??
My dear tell them too.
Some of us are not aware that intentional civil disobedience can sometimes right a wrong. They are just after money and that’s all.
Hahahahaha……are you kidding me. Seun Kuti is definitely vexed
this is absolutely correct our parents are going out of their minds
If we have a good government they would have been attended to the ASSU problem, that is some people are attending the rally to change the present government
Two wrongs don’t make right, so no matter How poor the system treat it people we will always do our civil duties.
Why won’t dey attend rallies is not for the betterment of their children
Students are tired of staying at home.
I wonder why some parent seems not to understand this, their children have been at home for long and this people they are camping for don’t have any of their children studying in this country….
Seen kuti is making sense here….I stand with him
Seun kuti thank for this truth, what you said is absolutely right.
My dear what do you mean by the term “serve your children”. A parent ensuring that there’s good governance so as to ensure good standard of living for their children is doing their work towards their children. That there is asuu strike is beyond parents, ABI what do you want them to do? Raze down aso Rock?
They are selling their childrens future for small money they will get at a political rally
Yes what this man is saying is true students are suffering so much in this country
They should ooooooo abeg
we are tried of staying home oooo… Asuu
Is not the parents fault, they don’t care about tomorrow of their children
Our problems will be half solved when we stop selling our votes.
This man got a point here.
How can parent be attending political rally while their children are home, instead of them to rally against Government to settle ASUU so that Students can go back to school.
Nice talk
Help us talk to them ooh
The greatest scam in this nation is “we are the leaders of tomorrow”. Parents don’t even for that, the only thing they care for is their pockets
I completely agreed with him. Some of our parents should act more mature a bit. The same politicians that kept your children at home are the same people you are canvassing for.
I wonder what the federal government is thinking about the strike
Protest is going on on social media by NANS, which state call off strike or no election , and parents and the soo called students are going about for rally because of the little penny they will get from it
Government should do somthing
following the steps of your father nice one of the day. let’s always say the truth as we see it
Pls tell to stop.voting to old people that dont value for our future
Nice one, Our parents need act for once…
Parent need to react for this
I hail you ooooh go on we have bad government in this country,, from next month now parents we start casting out their while their children are still in the house without any hope of going back to school this year
For naija its the practice to be hypocritical chasing after shadows.
It the fact, how can a sitting government abandon his youth and going about to campaign.
Hmmm. Abi you don’t know that politics is been played with educational sector. Assu I’m tired.
When will government settle them once and for all?
This is getting out of hand.
He has a point, why would parents attend political rally when their children are stocked at home because of ASUU strike, the federal government should do justice and end the strike
that’s the kind of situation we find ourselves so we can’t because of it and can’t live a normal life
assu or no assu it doesn’t stop the govt from doing what they want
I support him.parents don’t bother seeing children at home.
This is serious. Our parents should have looked into it.
It’s obvious
No body is happy seeing his or her child still at home all in the name of strike
Is quite the truth, attending political rallies, especially of the ones instigating the continuation of the strike
Tell them please
Whether they attend rallies or not, if federal government don’t want to listen to ASUU they won’t, is not today that students started staying at home
Nice view
No parent is happy to send there child to school and at the end of the day see there child at home all in the name of strike
You have said it all seun kuti
Nice & wise talk. Think wise Nigerians
Tell them oo i don’t know if they have been bought over, they are serving Government that are not even trying at all.
Attending political rally as nothing to do with ASUU strike, this is a wrong view.
Thank you oh….tell them let them hear….they should be against it
some parents are still going to sell their vote in this coming elections. It’s high time we start making things work for ourselves not our politicians.
It’s high time we start making things work for ourselves not our politicians.
Well spoken
You are very right sir
Let them no please
Kuti you are right keep it up
Nice view, the government shoulddo something for the students. Staying at home won’t help them at all.
They shouldn’t lose both sides. Let them secure better candidate that will fix this university crisis for their children.
Reality is this. Some parent need orientation. Nice one
And it’s a true talk
Very well spoken. Pls tell them oooo.
If we have a good government they would have been attended to the ASSU problem
Is there really a strike going on all the children in my area goes to school I don’t understand
He’s the true son of his father. At times like this, people need to be told the truth
Yes parents are not doing well in attending party rallies while their children and wards are at home because of Assu strike, they all forgot that these children are future hopes, let’s change.
Good point but after all they would say that it is not them dat put ASSU in strike
Nice point true son of the father
My brother help me tell them. Person house dey burn and they are pursuing rat
Do they care about the welfare of the students. All they know is their pockets.
Maybe he has a point there, would that have help thier cause, maybe because I dont know
Only God know wat is right
U are right in some way. Using the word mad is wrong. God bless Nigeria
You are right, nice one
There is so much sense to what Seun said. Till we learn to serve our kids, we cannot serve the society at large. Parents can make effort for rally but not their kids education shows misplaced priority.
Well spoken by Seun Kuti and very on point. Parents should put their children first and not allow themselves to be fooled and used by this politicians.
Your words are harsh, but you are saying fact
Nice talk, parents should not be used by politicians
This is the truth. We av been blindfolded by the sweet talks and lies profess by these politicans. God help us.
Well said
But its not like its their fault na
That’s very right of him. It just worsening our feelings wen we see parents attending those meetings.
Rightly said ma, the children are at home and they are attending rallies
The behaviour tire me oo
The government should look into d case
Well spoken, some parents are still going to sell their vote in this coming elections. It’s high time we start making things work for ourselves not our politicians.
God will help we students even some parents do not cares
God should deliver Nigeria
Good talk sir. They just toy with our future because of peanuts.
I stand with him
I mean they can easily get injured
Well you are right but the way you presented it is wrong. May God deliver us in Nigeria
The federal government should do justice and end the strike.
Pls let them call Dis strike backooo, we tired of staying in hux, idleness is a devil workshop
The man is making sense but in other way he is not making sense.
Why will they support them in the rallies when they have refused to cooperate in other for students to go back to school
What do you expect in a country that the interest of the people is not a factor to be considered
thus is true, it shows how they take the serious of education to be
Parents were attending political rallies
Very good tell them that truth is always bitter.
Just allow them. I don’t known if some of them have a second thought at alk
God bless you for the truth
The strike will be called off soon.
This is really an eye opener especially to the men who has children who are suppose to be in the university.
The strike Is really taking a long time
Have spoken well my brother…….. This is Nigeria………. We take what we see.
Yes I support parents they should do something students are Tared
So when ASUU did not called off the strike what did you want them to do now they have no option dats where they can see money
I dont even kn wat to say, this country needs deliverance. I just wish we can protest
you are making sense kuti
Jobless and senseless parents, with no future plans
Seun kuti is really talking sense… I totally agree with him
True words out there by Seun Kuti, but I feel these parent aren’t happy seeing their children at home either
I aggree with him, what he is saying is fact
Seun kuti please throw more lights
You have spoken well sir,i guest they are just lacking knowledge
Seun kuti please ride on, this is a true talk
Tell them, their children are all studying abroad while their campainers children are suffering from the strike
My question is this.. “Are we moving our country 4ward or backward, pls our leaders answer my question politely
This is too bad government should to hear this good news because something is going to happen soon
God bless you for us . It really trouble me also when students talk about upcoming election when have not been to school for 3months now
Asuu call off strike
Someone needs to talk to them
Why won’t dey attend
How are you so sure that the ASU strike is not politically influenced.
Tell them let them know.
Ignorance have blindfolded them.
It doesn’t matter but FGN should make it settles ASUU to go back to class
Money the root of all evil
I think he is definitely right
Is parents not part of this nation,i don’t think is rally will make them not to raise their children well, rally will come and go.
Well, he was right from his own point of view but on the other hand, there is nothing this parents can do. It’s not easy with them going for political rally
I think parents should show more concern about the strike.
The leaders of tomorrow on strike while politicians only concern about campaign
Kuti is making sense, students are tired of staying home
I am tired of staying at home
Well, you are right.
But we the students staying at home is not pleasing to us at all
Bitter truth…… Action time parents
Well said Mr Seun, we needs to get our priorities right.
I support seen kuti to slams those parent that goes for political rally too
No they are not maaaad . just trying to make life better. Seun mind ur speach.
