Some armed men on Friday June 19, invaded the Nigerian high commission in Accra, Ghana, and destroyed a new building under construction.
The affected building and apartments demolished in the Nigerian high commission in Ghana were reportedly being constructed to house staff and visitors.
According to reports, a Ghanaian businessman had accused the commission of encroaching on his land. He was said to have visited the place last week, presenting evidence that he is the real owner of the land.
The businessman reportedly returned to the site on Friday with some armed men who supervised the demolition.
Officials of the commission reportedly contacted the police but no efforts were made to prevent the demolition, the Cable reported.
