When the inhabitants of Huixtán province in Mexico got tired of their mayor, Javier Jimenez, after he failed to keep his campaign promise, they did what he didn’t expect.
They made him wear a dress and paraded him around town for days.
In the early days of the week, a visibly stressed Mayor Javier Jimenez, walked around in a long black skirt and frilly white blouse with ruffles and flowery embroidery, in front of furious residents.
Luis Ton, another official also considered deficient, was clad in a bright pink dress with white polka dots.
One of the pains of the people is that Jimenez has not come through on his campaign promise to allocate $158,000 for improvements to the town’s water system.
