The President of the Africa Development Bank (AFDB) Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina has been re-elected on Thursday via election and will serve for 5 years managing the affairs of the bank.
A committee was set up by AfDB Bureau of Governors, following a complaint by the United States. However, it was discovered that the allegation against him were properly considered and dismissed by the committee.
Adesina was re-elected by the Board of Governors of the Bank at the ongoing AfDB’s virtual annual meeting in Abidjan on today,27, 2020.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie confirmed the development while congratulating Adesina on her official Twitter page.
