AEDC official stabbed to death while disconnecting light in Abuja

An Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) official was stabbed to death on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 while disconnecting electricity Kabusa area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

According to reports, the AEDC official who was carrying out his duty was stabbed to death while his colleague escaped with serious injuries after they were attacked while disconnecting the electricity of customers who didn’t pay their bills.

Guardian reports that the body of the deceased AEDC official has been deposited at the mortuary in Garki Hospital, Area 8, Abuja.

Confirming the attack, the head of Corporate Communication at AEDC, Oyebode Fadipe said two of their workers were attacked, while one is dead, the other is receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital and he is doing well.

Fadipe assures that AEDC would pursue this case to the logical conclusion and will no longer take this recurrent attacks which has become very rampant in the area lightly.
