A branch of Access Bank in Ademola Adetokunbo, Victoria Island, Lagos caught fire on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
Workers of bank branch and other offices in the environs were thrown into panic on Wednesday morning when a truck loaded with 33,000 litres of Diesel burst into flame.
The raging fire was captured on phone cameras by pedestrians from the road and people in surrounding buildings.
Daily Sun learnt that the tanker was dispensing fuel for the uses of generators in the bank premises when it caught fire.
The fire from the tanker marked AKD 637 XP consumed a car with registration number AKD 234 FA parked within the bank premises.
However, combined intervention of the emergency responders including LASEMA Response Team, Eko Hotel, LASG fire, UBA Fire Service prevented the inferno from escalating further into the bank building.
Firefighters are reported to have responded to the scene already.
