A Nigerian man in the US has questioned why RCCG fasting in Nigeria was dry while he was in the country but RCCG discourages it in the US.
The man took to his social media page, Nosa Iyare claims when he was in Nigeria, RCCG fasting was dry with no food and water for 40 days but in the US where he is currently, thesame church discourages members from going dry.
He wonders if this is because of the fear of child protective services in the US or because the God in Nigeria is different from the one in the US.
He wrote;
When I was in Nigeria, the 40 days fasting in RCCG was dry. No food, no water. Here in the US, the same RCCG discourages you from going dry. Is it that the God of USA is different or the fear of child protective services is the beginning of wisdom?

See some reactions he got to his post below.
Dear Nosa, this is fake news. RCCG members are encouraged to fast up until 6:00 pm daily and break their fast. No one encourages members to go for 40 days without food or water when they are not Jesus Christ. – @OgbeniDipo
Point of correction sir, RCCG will never tell you to go on dry fast with no food and water.. – @ElizabethAnuol1
You can imagine how many gullible fellows have shared this obvious fake news by means of forming woke ? So you see why we are warned to have some sense and think things over , if your brain no reach , verify by other means ,I’m not a member of the RCCG but I know this is a LIE ! – @iameddykovu
Christianity in Nigeria and Christianity in the US is so different. Even the prayer points aren’t the same, same as the mode of worship – @thetutu_g
The legal unit of the RCCG should sue this guy for false claims and damages of the church. This isn’t right and shouldn’t be allowed to slide. please do the needful abeg – @DestinyAgbanimu
Lmao na lie be this sha. There has never been a general 40days fasting with no food and water in RCCG. The one I remember is if you don’t want to do 40days or something, you can do 20days dry which is equivalent to 40days and dry fasting has never been mandatory – @Folarin__
