A man has been arrested for defiling a primary school girl in Bayelsa and the 31-year-old man has been in police custody since yesterday. According to reports, the man might likely be let off the hook because there is no one to push the case for the poor family of the little girl who also needs urgent medical attention because of the brutal nature of the rape.
Kathlyn Eyitemi shared the photo of the rapist on facebook and wrote;
My Bayelsa people please naa,

Rape of minors on daily basis ?
Reports reaching me now:
Just Yesterday. This 31 year old man who is currently in police custody raped this nine year old child.
This man might likely be let off the hook because the police there is no one to push the case for the poor family of the victim.
What’s even worse is that the child is physically damaged and needs urgent medical attention because of the brutal nature of the rape.
Should we continue to keep silent and allow evil to thrive????
Earlier today it was also reported that 30-year-old Adigun, who has been defiling a 10-year-old girl since she was 9 years old at Olorunkemi Street, Bariga area of Lagos has been arrested by the Lagos State police command.
However his dirty acts were busted during a ‘truth or dare’ game, the girl played with her friends. It was gathered that the counsellor in the girl’s school became alarmed when the girls asked themselves to swear if any man had had sex with them. Other girls said yes, but the victim simply kept mute.
News Telegraph reported that the Coordinator for Child Protection Network, Toyin Okanlawon, who reported the matter, said:
“She suddenly became calm when her friends asked her to swear.
That was what drew the attention of the counsellor, who asked her what the problem was. The victim opened up to her on how their neighbour had been having marathon sex with her for over a year.
Medical test later confirmed she had been abused. The suspect confessed at the police station that whenever he does not go to work, he would defile the minor. .
Adigun’s family had been threatening the victim’s parents, which was why I took up the case. I want them to get justice. The suspect also claimed that the girl used to come to his room to seek assistance, that he didn’t force her. .
.When the victim told her mother about the abuse, she said the girl was talking nonsense because the rapist’s sister is a close friend to the victim’s mother.”
