"3 loaves of bread and three 2kg pack of beans for 1200 households" - Igando residents call out Lagos state government


Residents of Egan-Igando in Alimosho Local government in Lagos state have called out the Lagos state government over the insufficient “COVID-19 Emergency Food Response” they received.

The residents of Igando area of Lagos state took to their social media pages to call out Lagos state government for sending very insufficient food stuff as COVID-19 relieve materials to members of the community.

Some claim they received just 3 loaves of bread, three 2kg beans to be shared among over 1200 residents while some others revealed that they got tomatoe paste and 3 2kg bag of rice to be shared among residents in two streets during the lockdown.

Recall that Nigeria implemented a sweeping quarantine for three major states that are home to almost 30 million people in a bid to slow the spread of the new coronavirus, including Lagos, Abuja and Ogun which kicked at 11pm local time on Monday and will last for at least two weeks, President Muhammadu Buhari announced on Sunday
