2Face Idibia on #EndSARS: “We need a total shutdown until politicians start to answer”

Legendary Nigerian singer, 2Face Idibia has stated that there is need for a total shutdown in the country amid the #EndSARS protest.

Nigerians are protesting in numbers against police brutality and abuse of their human rights by the law enforcement agency.

Taking to Twitter, the singer wondered why everybody is still going to work amid the protests. According to 2Face, there is need for a total shutdown until politicians start giving answers.

He added that markets should be the only thing open at this time.

“I wonder why everybody is still going to work. We need total shutdown until this politicians start to answer!! Unless them wan use sars come pursue us go work #EndSARS

Nigerian singer, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido, recently stated that violent hoodlums are not a part of the ongoing #EndSARS movement.

Taking to social media, Davido said that those who are breaking the law, destroy police stations and other government properties are not part of the #EndSARS movement.

According to him, the #EndSARS protesters are peaceful, and law abiding and no amount of mischief can destroy it.

“After seeing all that’s gone on today I just want to say that from the beginning we have preached that the protest must remain peaceful & Law Abiding and as far as I know we have kept to that! And we will continue to keep to that so the narrative can NOT be switched up on us!

The people they claim broke into prisons to free convicted criminals, burn police stations to to steal weapons, damage police, government, & private vehicles are Criminals and everybody must condem these acts. They are not part of our movement !

#EndSars is a peaceful and law abiding protest that is going somewhere great! And no mischief can scatter it!”
