Justice Nwosu was kidnapped on October 30, at about 11.30am, along Benin-Agbor expressway, by Christ Chosen Church of God International, while on her way to Owerri, Imo State, to see her husband.

Danmallam Mohammed, commissioner of police in Edo, confirmed that the judge was rescued from kidnappers and has been reunited with her family.

Recall Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme abduction led to a public outcry from various quarters and the Benin branch of NBA, boycotted the courts for three days as a way of protesting her abduction. She has regained her freedom after spending two weeks in her kidnappers’ den.
