The rape case of the 4-year-old girl was brought to Ebonyi State’s Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. The Ministry’s Head of Department, Child Development, Godwin Igwe, revealed that Iteze was brought to his office, by the father alongside a consultant physician from the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, who confirmed the rape upon some medical examinations.

Jennifer’s father alleged that the rape act was perpetrated by one Ernest, the son of one of his co-tenants. According to him, Ernest undertook to look after the little girl and her two other siblings while he and their mother left for their different places of work, but on return, they discovered that their daughter was having pains while urinating.

It was gathered that upon inquiry, parents of the little girl were told by their daughter how Ernest came into their house while she was with her siblings and inserted his genital into her own. However following the inability of the family to pay N4,000 for a case file, the 15-year-old boy has been freed.

  1. My God!!!how could they free that boy?he will never know how horrific his actions are and might even do the same again expecting to get away with it….,poor baby girl, may God heal you of evey trauma caused by this evil incident, leaving your precious kids in a stranger’s care is a complete no-no,the days are just to evil!

  2. What is wrong with some men? Please “teach your sons to stop raping because I’m teaching my daughters how to cut off penises”!

  3. Oh my God, This judgement ain’t right at all, why would they release the boy without thorough punishment. He won’t be able to learn through his mistakes. And just because of that token, he was released. I think I have to shift the blame on the law, cos the boy will continue in his evil acts

  4. Because of four thousand.this is bad let say no to rape because it is becoming more and more in our society

  5. What a word!, How can they just released this man, he is suppose to pay for his evil act. Why will he rape a four year old girl and be set free. Just like that?

  6. Is wrong to release the boy even if the parents of the little girl could not afford the 4k, for letting the boy go he might do it again and feel that it is normal

  7. Chai poverty is a dangerous disease because of 4k they nor free the rapist to work freely, please oooo our government should come to the aid of this family if not the incidence may repeat itself. This raping of minors is becoming too much this days

  8. just see what bloody poverty is causing. how did we get so low in this country? on a normal day, one who commit such crime should rot in jail

  9. What is this country turning into, no girl child is safe anymore. Please the appropriate authorities should take up this case and punish both the boy and the stupid police

  10. Releasing is indirectly encouraging others. There is no minor offense, not even in the case as this. The boy needs to face the law to know how grievous this offense is. The government also needs to pay attention to this and device. Evans to curb it

  11. This is pretty bad, barbaric and demonic. Why will he be release at four thousand naira. Quo vadis Nigeria…..

  12. Atrocities everywhere. Let’s not be contributing perpetrator of this wickedness in our society today, rather we should brighten the small corner where we are as much as we can for “RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTS A NATION,but SIN is a REPROACH”.

  13. Welcome to a country where a poor man has no right to he’s safety and life. Where are we really heading to

  14. This is heartbreaking!this paedophile to go scot-free,because the family cannot afford N4000?
